Blueberry Lemonade Italian Soda
A coffee-shop Italian soda rebuilt from a blueberry lemonade stick: sparkling water over ice, then a slow float of cream that settles into layers.
- 1 stick Wyler's Light Blueberry Lemonade in the collection →
- 2 tablespoons still water, for dissolving
- 12 ounces chilled sparkling water
- 1–2 tablespoons half-and-half or heavy cream
- Ice, generously
- 01
Dissolve the stick in the still water at the bottom of a tall glass. It becomes your syrup.
- 02
Fill the glass with ice, then pour the sparkling water slowly down the side.
- 03
Give it one gentle stir to lift the color through the bubbles.
- 04
Float the cream over the back of a spoon and watch it curl down through the purple.
- 05
Serve with a straw, and leave the layers unstirred for a minute.
