The Cooler Jug
The batch math for a half-gallon cooler at a golf round, a team practice, or a day of yard work. Each packet is portioned for 16 to 20 ounces, so a 64-ounce jug wants three to four packets.
- 4 packets of one flavor, such as Propel Berry in the collection →
- 64 ounces (half a gallon) of cold water
- A tray of ice, added at the end
- One insulated jug or cooler with a spout
- 01
For a lighter jug you can sip all day, use three.
- 02
Pour the packets into the empty jug first, then add a quart of water and swirl until nothing settles at the bottom.
- 03
Top up with the remaining water and stir once from the bottom with a long spoon.
- 04
Add the ice last so it chills the batch instead of watering down the mixing.
- 05
Cap it, throw it in the truck, and refill bottles from the spout all day.
